Located in a re-purposed textile mill in the village of Diggle in Saddleworth, Diggle Lock is a relaxed and friendly daytime eatery and pantry store. Situated on the edge of the dramatic Pennine moorland, a stone's throw away from the Huddersfield Narrow Canal, the restaurant draws its inspiration, and indeed its name, from the industrial heritage and cultural history of the area.
When Jamie Collins opened Diggle Lock in 2019, the aim was to provide a laid-back venue with restaurant quality food at reasonable prices. 'We like to do things our own way - a little bit of city centre sophistication, right here in Diggle. The majority of our food is made in our own kitchen - and we source most of our ingredients locally from artisan suppliers and producers who share our passion for great food and top quality ingredients'.
Diggle Lock is the perfect retreat for locals and visitors, walkers and talkers or just those looking for a little more than your average breakfast. At Diggle Lock you'll find a friendly welcome, amazing food and mighty fine coffee.
